Detail interpreted in line drawing comes from my days of commercial art illustrating using pen and ink. This technique matched my own fascination with detail and design and gave me the opportunity to look closely at hand-made crafts. Lace has memories of my grandmother... doilies, wedding dresses, trims of fancy and fun. There is also an order, symmetry and slowing down of time I like.
